NIFS regular meeting Notice on 5th October

ようやく、秋らしい気候になり、涼しくなりましたね。「勉強の秋」に、NIFSで、英語の勉強をしませんか？10月5日(土)の例会について、下記ご案内致します。皆さまの参加をお待ちしております。

We would like to introduce the regular meeting as follows; Let’s study English conversation.

3. 例会プログラム /Program

1) コアタイム/Core Time 18:00〜18:50

CNN English Express 10月号より、「Leading Women in Japan」を取り上げます。 最年少の日本人登山家、南谷真鈴(まりん)さんをピックアップします。13歳の時に父の仕事について、アジア各地を回り、ネパールのボランティア活動で、ヒマラヤを見た時に魅せられて、高校に入った時に、ヒマラヤに登頂することを決意しました。 計画を立て、スポンサー探し、トレーニングを重ねるなどの困難を克服して、19才でヒマラヤ登頂に成功したストーリーを、英語で話してくれます。 パワーポイントでの英語説明の後、聞き取りをしてみましょう。

We pick up “Leading Women in Japan” from CNN English Express, issued on Oct. the youngest mountaineer, Marin Minamiya. She moved around Asia with her father’s job and got the inspiration to climb Everest a decade ago. When  she entered the senoir high school, she decided to climb Everest, made a plan and has proceeding it by coping with difficulties such as finding financial support/sponsorship, training of carrying 30 kg of weight, and getting all of the equipment. In 2016, at age 19, she became the youngest Japanese person to summit Mount Everest.  Let’s learn and hear what she speaks in CNN English special features “Leading Women in Japan”.

名大留学生で、ハンサムで陽気なアメリカ人ゲストのHectorさんが、英語プレゼンをしてくれます。 いつも楽しいお話しを、分かりやすく話してくれますので、楽しみにして下さい。

Our foreigner guest is Mr. Hector who is  handsome, cheerful American, and overseas student at Nagoya university. He will provides interesting presentation in English.
